Apply pressure downward on toes
To accentuate the calves

Left foot can be positioned slightly in front of the right one and left leg can have a slight bend at the knee, or legs can remain side by side with knees locked depending on the competitor's preference.

Keep chest/ribcage expanded and shoulders pulled back (this slightly arches the back and in turn pushes the pelvis back also)
To display pleasing posture and more of a taper from shoulders to waist as well as accentuating the appearance of curvature in the glute area.

Allow the left arm to hang down and slightly back from the centerline of the body with a slight bend at the elbow. Right arm can hang down and slightly in front of the centerline of the body with a slight bend at the elbow, or right hand can be placed on hip (with some organizations). Or, if one prefers, left arm can be placed on hip and right arm loose and slightly in front of the centerline of the body (can show front deltoid better). Variation depends on a competitor's personal preference.
To make upper body twist slightly left to create the appearance of having more of a taper to the waist.

Tense body but maintain the appearance of being in a relaxed state
To show definition better

Head can face side of stage competitor is facing, or be turned directed towards judges based on competitor's preference.
