OCB Body Transformation Challenge

Eligibility
OCB Body Transformation Challenges are open to all persons who do not use performance-enhancing substances (meet the OCB Drug Testing guidelines) and who have never competed in a Bodybuilding, Figure, Fitness or Fitness Modeling competition.

Guidelines

Before & After Photos
Participants furnish a full-body photo of their front, side and back views from both the first and last days of their Challenge period. A USA Today newspaper is held showing the front page and date in the front photos. A close-up photo of the same front covers of the newspapers is also furnished to ease identification of paper dates.

Clothing
The same type of clothing should be worn for the “before” and “after” photos. Swimsuits, shorts, or exercise clothes are preferred. Keep in mind if parts of the body are covered it will be difficult to show progress made.

Photos

  • Take the photos from as close up as possible while capturing the whole body from head to toe.

  • Arms should be straight down by sides for photos (no posing!).

  • Professional photographs are not required but keep in mind quality photos are essential for clearly showing transformations.

  • Photos supplied should be either 3.5” x 5” or 4” x 6” in size.

Essay
Participants provide a brief essay about how they were impacted by the transformation challenge.

Helpful Tips for Essays

  • Keep notes of some of the thoughts and feelings experienced throughout the transformation and use the information to help create an essay after the Challenge period.

  • Speak from the heart, as though you were sharing your story with a friend.

  • Submit a printout of the essay with the entry journal and email a copy of the essay to Challenge@theOCBwebsite.com.

Scoring
Judges will review and study each entrant’s completed Entry Journal. Each judge assigns a score from 1-80 for the Before & After section of the Entry Journal based on overall progress, and from 1-20 for the Essay section, for a possible total of 100 points for each judge. The sum of all the judges’ scores is the total score for a participant. The contestant with the highest score is awarded first place. Second highest score is awarded second place, and so on.

Additional Details:

  • Contestants must submit their completed entry journals within 2 weeks of finishing a 12-week challenge.

  • Participants must be present at competition site on the designated date (Ex. If entered from an entry form for an April 21st event, must be present at the venue that date) for the contest for acknowledgements and the award ceremony.

  • Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
